Autobiographic Incident

One event that has occured in my life that has affected me greatly was the day my little sister was born.
The day I found out my mom was going to have a baby, I was way too excited for words. I was ten years old and so happy that I finally wasn't going to be an only child anymore. I had always wanted to have brothers and sisters and finally it was going to happen. I told everyone at school and I couldn't stop talking about how excited I was for the new baby.
After the good news, we started buying baby things and got the baby's room all decorated and ready for the big day to come. It was getting closer to the due date and I was growing more and more excited for the arrival of my new baby sister or brother. I'd help my mom with things and helped her and my dad get things ready for the bew baby too.
Eventually, after a long nine months of waiting, it was finally time for my mom to have the baby! I couldn't believe it. The day I was waiting for, for so long was finally here and I was more excited than ever before. We had to wait for several long hours at the hospital before my sister was actually born, but when she was here, it was worth all the wait. My little sister was finally born on January first, 2002, and it was one of the happiest times I've had yet.
Although my little sister is only five years old, me and her are extremely close and get along great. That's why the day my baby sister was born, was a time in my life I could never forget.
